We are always looking for talented and motivated people to join our group at any level (undergraduates, technicians, PhD students, postdocs, visiting scholars). People with a background in any area of science, engineering, or mathematics are welcome. We are currently pursuing work in the following general areas (listed in no particular order):

- **Biophysics of cell signaling and stress response; Biomolecular condensates; G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs); Cell and molecular biology**
- **Cryo-vitrification via cryo-plunging and high-pressure freezing; Time-resolved freezing;**
- **Microfluidics; design, simulation, prototyping, fabrication and testing of fluidic devices**
- **Electron microscopy (cryo and regular) for structural and cell biology;**
- **Cathodoluminescence; Biological nanoprobe development; Nanoparticles; Photonics**
- **Biophysical instrumentation: optical and mechanical design, simulation, development and control;**
- **Optical imaging; Single-molecule fluorescence and FRET; Lasers; Pump-probe experiments**

If you are interested in joining the group , please contact Max at **[maxim\_prigozhin@harvard.edu](mailto:maxim_prigozhin@harvard.edu).**

Please include a brief cover letter, a CV, and contact information for the recommenders.

Graduate students are encouraged to apply through the following PhD programs at Harvard University:

- Applied Physics and other graduate programs within the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), e.g. BioE, MechE, etc. (<https://www.seas.harvard.edu/applied-physics/graduate-program>)
- Molecules, Cells, and Organisms (<https://www.mcb.harvard.edu/graduate/mco/>)
- Biophysics (<https://biophysics.fas.harvard.edu/>)
- Systems, Synthetic, and Quantitative Biology (<https://ssqbiophd.hms.harvard.edu/>)

In your application, please indicate your interest in pursuing your PhD work in the Prigozhin group.

We are looking forward to hearing from you!
